Microsoft Office 365 update includes new 3D effects and AI Features

New inking. 3D effects. AI features. These are just some of the features that Microsoft announced on November 29, to accompany the latest Office 365.

First, Word and Powerpoint will be embedded with 3D animations that will allow you to add 3D animated models on your content both for documents and presentations. The goal on this feature as Microsoft says is to “help easily illustrate more complex ideas” in your presentations and other documents.

Second, you can now convert digital writing and diagrams into text and shapes, all at once, in Powerpoint.  Ink Editor can also pick up some new gestures that let you use shorthand to automatically insert new lines, add missing words, and even delete and highlight content.

In PowerPoint, Microsoft is leveraging a bit of AI power to curate slide recommendations based on your content. You’ll see multiple design themes, SmartArt and icons based on the words you use in your slides, and more. In Word, you’ll also now be able to convert documents to web pages with Transform to Web.

All of these features are now available to Microsoft 365 and Office 365 subscribers.

For other new features, you can check the official Microsoft blog here.
