The W-List 2015: 12-Step Creative Brief for Outsourcing Web Design

Outsourcing a web project requires preparing the project papers and documentations. These papers may range from project quotation, project proposal, project plan to quality plan, training plan, and maintenance plan. But few have realized that this 2 to 3 pages of papers are equally important in achieving the ends of producing a website—the Creative Brief.

CONCLUSION

Creative briefs are maybe common in outsourcing the production of advertisements but not for outsourcing web design and development. The most undesirable thing in web design is creating what you think is visually appealing but then it’s not what the client wants. Here come the revisions, revisions, revisions until everything crashed. Agreeing on the creative elements through the creative brief eludes lost time, wasted money, and distraction of client-developer relationship and team member-team member rapport. Why? It is because we can treat a creative brief as the “creative contract” for outsourcing your creative tasks.
